Cupcake Charlie's Up for Best Cupcakes in New England

Cupcake Charlie’s has become synonymous for tasty treats in Plymouth and Cape Cod and has expanded to several new locations, including Patiot Place in Foxborough. The bakery has been featured on Food Network's "Cupcake Wars", and now the bakery is getting some love from New England.

NECN has nominated Cupcake Charlie's in its "Who has New England's best cupcake" category in the cable news channel's annual "Baby, You're the Best" awards. The chain is up against stiff competition from four other bakeries known for their cupcakes: Georgetown Cupcakes of Boston, Mike's Pastry of Boston, Cupcake Mojo of Weymouth, and Lulu's Sweet Shoppe of Boston.

Polls will close Wednesday at 8 p.m. for the category of the week and the winner will be announced on that Friday on NECN's "The Morning Show."
