The Tri-Town Chamber recently celebrated business in Foxborough with a ribbon cutting ceremony for Michael Sweeney's Psychopharmaco therapist practice at 34 School St., Suite 200 in Foxborough.
Sweeney graduated from New England Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in May of 1989. He received his Bachelors Degree from Curry College; a Bachelors of Arts in counseling psychology in 1999 and a Bachelors of Science Nursing in 2004. In 2003, Michael also receive a Master's Degree from Bridgewater State College in Clinical Psychology.
He received his second Master's Degree from the University of Rhode Island in Nursing-Adult psychiatric - mental health clinical nurse specialist. Sweeney is currently enrolled at URI in the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Program.
Sweeney has been working in the field of psychiatry and mental health since 1999. He has been a registered nurse since 1989, and has an extensive medical and psychiatric clinical experience. Sweeney provides adult psychiatric mental health medications and holistic approaches to help individuals with substance abuse, depression, Bipolar disorder, anxiety, GLBT issues, trauma, stress management, grief and loss.
Sweeney assesses and prescribes medications (when needed) to adults only (age 18 and older). He accepts some commercial insurances. He does not accept Medicare or Medicaid insurance products. Private pay is $180 for an initial assessment and $90 for each follow- up appointment. There is no sliding scale offered.
