August 1: First Quarter Property Taxes Due

*Under the payment system, residents were sent a preliminary tax bill by July 1st. This tax was based on the adjusted net tax owed on your property for the prior fiscal year (including any betterments, special assessments and other charges added to the tax) and as a general rule will be approximately half (50%) of that amount. The preliminary tax can be paid in two equal installments. The first payment is due on August 1 and your second payment is due on Nov. 1.

1. The  will meet at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall in the Andrew A. Gala, Jr., Meeting Room. The meeting agenda can be found HERE.  The Foxborough  will hold a joint meeting with the  Board of Trustees at the Library at 7:00 p.m.  The meeting agenda can be found HERE.

2. Summersensation continues with  at the Patriot Place Activity Center at 11:00 a.m.  Watch as these artists turn a blank sheet of paper into a humorous caricature sketch of you in minutes. Choose from either a full-color or black & white sketches.  This free event is brought to you by FUN Enterprises!

3. Join Eastern Mountain Sports and the EMS Kayaking School for a free fun day of in Wrentham!  Receive free instruction and trials of kayaks and other watersports from 1pm to 6pm. You will  also be taking this opportunity to give back and do some conservation by cleaning up the lake and its islands. It is going to be a great day of paddling and conservation, stop in the store for details.

4. The Monday featured at Showcase Cinema De Lux at Patriot Place is “Africa Screams".  Admission for this 1949 comedy is only $2.00 which includes popcorn & soda.  Showtime is at 1:00 p.m.
