1. Chance of Showers and Thunderstorms Tuesday

Today’s weather in Foxborough, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for a slight chance of showers between 10 and 11 a.m., then isolated showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. Patchy fog before 7 a.m. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 83. West wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent. Tuesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 58. Southwest wind 3 to 5 mph.

2. Selectmen to Hold Public Hearing for Liquor License Transfer from Piccadilly Pub to Jake N’ Joes

On Monday, in the space formerly owned by Piccadilly Pub at 25 Foxborough Blvd. For that target date to become a reality, the Board of Selectmen must approve the liquor license transfer from Piccadilly Pub to Jake N’ Joes Sports Grille. The selectmen will hold a public hearing with representatives of the sports pub on Tuesday to discuss the transfer and other licensing.

3. Foxborough Police Chief to Discuss Town’s Parking Ban with Selectmen

Foxborough Police Chief Edward O’Leary is expected to meet with the town’s Board of Selectmen Tuesday to discuss the town’s ban on parking for a fee in any residential area during Gillette Stadium events that draw a crowd of over 15,000. after it passed Town Meeting in May. The next step for O’Leary and the town is working out the details for how to enforce the ban and when it will be initiated.

4. Events:

  • Donate Pants to Old Navy and Enter to Win Country Fest Tickets: Donate a pair of children or youth sized pants at Old Navy to Cradles to Crayons and receive 50 percent off an adult ticket to The Hall presented by Raytheon and be entered to win two tickets to The New England Country Music Festival. A Winner will be announced every day.
  • 11 a.m. - Storytime at Showcase Cinema de Lux: Meet Clifford at Kids Club Storytime
  • Noon - Summer Sensation 2012 - Bounce Houses: Jump around all afternoon in inflatable bounce houses. Located in the North Marketplace outside of Tastings Wine Bar and Bistro, enjoy great views of Gillette Stadium as the kids bounce the day away.

5. Job Fair at Gillette Stadium

The Kraft Organization is hosting a job fair at Gillette Stadium today from noon to 8 p.m. (by appointment only). Call (508) 549-0182 to schedule an appointment. Each of The Kraft Organization’s unique companies offers an “exciting, dynamic, fast paced and entrepreneurial environment,” according to its advertisement published on Craigslist. “The Kraft brand is synonymous with high quality and exemplary service. We take pride in our business and business relationships.”

  • Security
  • Beer Pourer
  • Suite Runner
  • Hawker

Position Requirements (According to the Craigslist advertisement):

  • Friendly
  • Customer Service Oriented
  • Available to work all pre-season, regular season and post-season football games
  • 18 years of age or older
