Taylor Swift Adds Second Show to July Concert at Gillette Stadium

Taylor Swift's RED Tour stops in Foxborough on July 26 and now July 27, 2013. Tickets go on sale Saturday, Nov. 17.

Due to overwhelming demand for tickets to Taylor Swift’s recently announced RED Tour, the six-time GRAMMY winner has announced she will be adding a second show at Gillette Stadium next summer.

Swift will play Gillette Stadium on Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27 in 2013. Tickets for both shows go on sale Saturday, Nov. 17 at 10 a.m. at ticketmaster.com. Any inquiries from Foxborough residents regarding concerts at Gillette Stadium can be submitted to foxbororesidents@gillettestadium.com

Swift announced the RED Tour on Oct. 26 on ABC News’ primetime TV special “All Access Nashville with Katie Couric.” Her album, RED, released last month to worldwide critical acclaim and has topped the iTunes album sales charts in 40 countries.

Acclaimed singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran will be her special guest at the Gillette Stadium shows. Sheehan’s duet with Swift on the RED album, “Everything Has Changed,” has already reached the No. 1 position atop iTunes all-genre Top Songs chart. Austin Mahone will also open.

“I didn’t think I could be any more excited about my RED album, but then I start thinking about how I’m going to put the new show together for The RED Tour,” said Swift. “I have so many ideas about how to really bring this music to life, and I can’t wait to share the new show with all my fans!”

Swift sold out Gillette Stadium for two nights in 2011 on her Speak Now Tour. She was the first female solo artist to headline the stadium, which seats approximately 50,000 for concerts.

It was a moment the country music star will never forget.
