Students of the Ahern Middle School in Foxborough proudly presented Beauty and the Beast Jr. last weekend, April 30-May 1.

The musical was directed by Laura Rotondo Canfield. Beauty and the Beast Jr. marked Canfield's sixth time directing at the Ahern Middle School.

Student performers dazzled in their iconic Disney roles, making it easy to forget that they are only 11 to 14 years-of-age.

Beauty and the Beast Jr. was dedicated to Charlie Anderson, a Foxborough native who worked at the Ahern school for 30 years. Anderson is remembered as a "guardian angel" and for his compassion and trust.
