Irene Doesn't Spoil "Summertime" Fun for Kenny Chesney Fans

The 2011 Goin' Coastal Tour was a success.

Kenny Chesney and his band put on a stellar performance Friday and Saturday, Aug. 26 and 27 in Foxboro, the final stop on his 2011 “Goin’ Coastal Tour.”

After the first concert was rescheduled from Sunday night to Friday due to hurricane alerts, Chesney promised his fans and Country Fest enthusiasts, who filled the stands of Gillette stadium, that it would be well worth their while—and that it was!

Making a grand entrance, Chesney flew through the air, down a descending cable and onto the stage, where he kicked off the concert with “Summertime,” followed by his other hit songs: “Big Star,” “Living in Fast Forward,” “Out Last Night,” “Somewhere with You,” “There Goes my Life,” “When the Sun Goes Down” and, of course, “Boston” and “Boys of Fall,” a tribute to New England.

Then, returning to the stage for an encore performance, Chesney sang “She Thinks my Tractor’s Sexy” and invited the co-headliner, Zac Brown band, back on stage to sing out the final songs with him.

The crowd was going wild for Chesney all night—singing along, dancing, posing for pictures, and tipping their cowboy hats to the spectacular show.
