Week in Review: Paicos Officially Gone, New Store Coming to Patriot Place, and More

Kevin Paicos will spend the final 11 months of his contract with the town of Foxboro at home.

In the agreement announced at the Aug. 6 meeting of the Foxboro Board of Selectmen, Paicos will be placed on administrative leave for the remainder of his contract and will no longer hold the position of town manager. He will receive his regular weekly salary though the end of his contract and payment for five weeks of accrued vacation to be paid no earlier than Jan. 1, 2014.

Three Found on Main St Arrested and Charged With Breaking and Entering

A late night sighting by members of Foxborough fire has led to the arrest of three people in connection to a breaking and entering case.

At 2:54 a.m. on Aug. 4, Foxborough police received a call from a resident on Lakeview Road reporting that someone attempted to break in to their car.

After returning from a call, members of Foxborough fire saw the three running into the woods near Main Street at around 4:30 a.m. After a search, the three people were found hiding on the street.

According to a press release from Foxborough police, the subsequent investigation revealed that the youths had broken into multiple cars and was in possession of stolen property.

Medflight Needed After Rt. 1 Motorcycle Accident

A 28-year-old male was transported to Beth Israel Hospital after a motorcycle accident left him with multiple fractures.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 7, the victim drove out of M.O.M. South on Route 1 and hit a guardrail while attempting to get to the other side of the road. After hitting the rail, the man was thrown 30 feet into the bank next to the road according to Foxboro fire.


Foxboro Police and Jaycees Hold National Night Out on the Common

Tuesday evening, the Foxboro Jaycees and the Foxboro Police Department held National Night Out on the common. The event, promoted as a going away party for crime, featured plenty of family friendly entertainment including a bounce house, a

petting zoo, face paining, and a glow stick safety parade.

The Jaycees were also on hand to give out free ice cream along with other booths from the district attorney's office and HUGS. Families could also check out Foxboro police's newest police cruiser and prisoner transport van.

Emergency Officials Respond To High Rock Road Motorcycle Accident

Emergency officials responded to a motorcycle accident on High Rock Rd in Foxborough Sunday afternoon.

According to Foxborough Fire Capt. Donald Treannie Jr., a 15-year-old crashed his motorcycle while riding in the state forest near High Rock Rd at approximately 3 p.m. The patient was med-flighted to Massachusetts General Hospital from Patriot Place.
