Ways to Volunteer in Foxborough for the Holidays

There's no better time to give back to your community than the holiday season.

Foxborough is a community built on volunteerism and what better way to volunteer in Foxborough than by giving back to others and spreading holiday cheer and warmth in town.

Donating your time or giving a special holiday gift to a family or child in need can make a big impact.

There are lots of ways to help make the holidays truly special for those who are less fortunate. You can pack a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child, adopt a family through The Salvation Army or donate to Toys for Tots.

Here are a few places that are in need of holiday volunteers in Foxborough:

Foxboro Discretionary Fund: Food basket, grocery gift card and clothing/toys at Christmas delivered to all Foxborough residents that qualify. Click here for more information.

Foxboro Food Pantry: The Foxboro Food Pantry on Neponset Avenue is run by the Foxborough Discretionary Fund. It provides basic and necessary service to those unable to meet their primary needs. More than 140 households in town receive food from the pantry. Call (508) 543-5235 for more information on how you can help.

Christmas Fruit Baskets: The Foxboro Jaycees gather and create 200 baskets of fresh fruit that are delivered with the Foxboro Discretionary fund food boxes. This year's fruit basket event will be held on Sunday, Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. at the South Foxboro Community Center.

Patriot Place Holiday Giving Tree: The giving tree, benefiting Patriot Place’s charitable partner, Cradles to Crayons, features ornaments containing a special holiday request from a child in need.

Visitors to Patriot Place are invited to take an ornament from the tree and purchase the assigned gift to fulfill a child’s wish. Gifts can be dropped off throughout the holiday season a the Patriot Place Management Office, located to next to Skipjack’s or at participating Patriot Place retailers. Please help a child in need this holiday season.

Cradles to Crayons Coat Drive at Patriot Place: Now through Feb. 28th Patriot Place is partnering with Cradles to Crayons to provide warm coats to homeless and low-income children from infancy to age 12, making their winter a little more bearable.

Please donate a new or gently used coat to help a child in need this holiday season. All Patriot Place stores, restaurants, and entertainment attractions will be accepting donations.
