If your children are anything like my own, they have endless amounts of energy bottled up and about to explode from the winter months. The walls are covered in markers (quite literally), the Wii has been over-played and they are driving each other- and you- absolutely bananas. It is finally time to be free from frazzled mommy's and the so-called "quiet" play.

For children, this spring and summer, there are many physical activities offered to get them burning off their energy. These activities include Pee Wee Soccer, Tennis, and All Star Sports. Registration and a fee is required for each.

For adults who would like to stay active in life- and the community, consider registering for Men Over 35 Basketball, Hatha Yoga or Adult Beginner Tennis.

There are also many great upcoming events for the whole family, including the Kids Fishing Derby, Touch a Truck Day, Family Outdoor Movie Night...and let's not forget the Founder's Day Festivites!

In between shuttling the children to tennis and soccer and your downward-dog at yoga, consider taking advantage of all Booth Playground has to offer: the roller hockey rink, tennis courts, basketball courts, sand and volleyball courts, baseball field, playground and picnic areas.

Also available in Foxborough are the amenities at the Cocasset River Recreation Area including the pool, picnic tables, trails and playground.

For more information of these activities and events, please check out The Foxborough Recreation Department's 2012 Spring and Summer Brochure.
