Patch Passport: Hidden Gem

Discover a Hidden Gem in Foxborough that you may have driven by and never known it existed. Or maybe you have not visited this interesting spot in years. So take a little trip with Patch...we'll show you the way

The Nature Trail and Cranberry Bog at Patriot Place is located behind Bass Pro Shops in the Patriot Place South Marketplace. Unknown to many, the Bogs are maintained by Ocean Spray and are three years old.

The Nature Trail offers a fun outdoor experience that includes a half-mile scenic walking trail and a variety of wildlife.

Great Blue Heron, snakes, swans, mallards, wood ducks, Canada geese and more are often spotted along the trail.

The trail also hosts the last remaining active cranberry bog in the town of Foxborough. Informational signs are placed throughout the trail teaching visitors about the life cycle of a cranberry and educational facts about the bog.

During the summer when the temperature is hot, conserve energy and view the nature trail and cranberry bogs on a segway. Thanks to a  partnership between Patriot Place and Segway, the Patriot Place Segway tours have allowed shoppers to experience the entertainment complex in a new and exciting way. Tour riders go by the back end of the Revolution’s practice field, the Patriots’ practice field, and the Dana Farber Field house. A break behind Bass Pro Shop gives riders a chance to see the Nature Walk and Cranberry Bogs.
