Improvements Planned For Gillette Stadium

After 11 years of operation, Gillette Stadium has gone through an improvement or two to better accommodate fans and employees.

This time, a 25,000 sq ft. expansion is now being planned for the east side of the stadium to put core operations in the same area according to the Sun Chronicle.

The project would not change the stadium's capacity or impact traffic in the area.

Based on mockups, the expansion would stretch across nearly the entire length of the stadium's east side.

Scouting and video operations would move from the upper level down to the new expansion.

The Kraft Group is also requesting that the planning board determine the project to be a minor modification which would not require a formal site plan public hearing.

The planning board will hear the proposal during next week's meeting at the Boyden Library. Town Planner Sharon Wason said it is too early to decide if the plan is a minor modification or needs a site plan.
