Hockomock Area YMCA Opens Doors for Neighbors in Aftermath of Hurricane Sandy

The Hockomock Area YMCA is welcoming area residents to its North Attleboro, Foxboro and Franklin branches to take showers and charge their cell phones.

The Hockomock Area YMCA will once again open its doors to people in the community who have lost power and are in need of a place to shower and charge their phones.

“We want to help our neighbors in our local communities who have been impacted by Hurricane Sandy," said YMCA President Ed Hurley. "In this spirit, we welcome area residents to our North Attleboro, Foxboro and Franklin Branches to take a hot shower and charge their cell phones during this difficult period."

Residents of area towns do not have to be YMCA members. Those interested in using the YMCA must simply present an ID and fill out a complementary guest pass.
