Foxborough Children’s Lemonade Stand Raises Over $300 for Boston Marathon Victims

The Cady and DeSantis children of Foxborough organized a Lemonade Stand on Patriot Circle Thursday to help the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

Drew Cady was celebrating his seventh birthday Monday in Foxborough when the attacks on the Boston Marathon occurred on Boylston Street.

As Cady learned of the death of eight-year-old Martin Richard as a result of Monday’s bombings, the young Foxborough resident decided he wanted to do something to help Richard’s family and the other victims of the Boston Marathon tragedy.

“Hearing about another little boy, just one year older than [Drew], losing his life really bothered him,” said Drew’s mother, Laurie Cady. “He decided he wanted to do something to help and so the lemonade stand came about.”
