Foxborough Boy Battling Aggressive Form of Cancer Has One Wish
Danny Nickerson said he wants a bunch of birthday cards for his sixth birthday.
A 5-year-old Foxborough boy battling an aggressive form of cancer has one wish: to receive a bunch of birthday cards.
Danny Nickerson will turn 6 on July 25.
The boy has been fighting Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, a type of brain cancer. Fewer than 10 percent of children diagnosed with the disease make it past 18 months.
"Every day is a blessing for us," his mother, Carley, told ABC News.
The boy has received over 30 chemotherapy treatments since he was diagnosed with the disease in October.
His mother said the boy is a big fan of LEGOs and Super Mario.
