Dunk Foxborough Officials for a Good Cause
Dunk tank at Founders Day will benefit Foxboro Never Forgets.
Town officials are hoping that "getting dunked" on Saturday will help to raise the final amount of $30,000 for Foxborough's 9/11 Memorial.
Current and past selectmen, as well as Town Manager Kevin Paicos, will take on the dunk tank Saturday at Founders Day. Selectmen recently joked that this is the time for the community to truly express their feelings towards them.
The dunk tank is sponsored by Foxboro Never Forgets. Foxboro Never Forgets recently broke ground on the town's 9/11 Memorial at the Public Safety building.
The fundraising for the September 11th Memorial started on Foxborough Founders Day in 2010. In today’s economy, raising the funds needed has been challenging. "Foxboro Never Forgets" is within $30,000 of their goal. The group is confident that through the good citizens of Foxboro, they will reach their goal.
