Boyden Library's Summer Reading Program

This year's program theme is "One World Many Stories."

The Boyden Library is kicking off their summer reading program on June 27. This year’s theme is “One World Many Stories.” Children are invited to come to the library and register beginning Monday, June 20.

Independent readers through age 12 and pre-readers as young as 2 years old are encouraged to participate. The program will run from June 27- August 5.  However, the program dates will be flexible throughout the summer depending upon the library’s expansion and renovation schedule.

Upon registration, everyone will receive a reading log, which participants will use to keep track of their reading progress. Record the titles of books read, the number of pages read, or the number of minutes spent reading each week. All books count-even the books on school summer reading lists. Then each week, beginning the week of June 27, when participants visit the library and show the children’s staff how much they’ve read, they will receive a prize. Prizes are provided by the Friends of the Boyden Library.
