Around Town: Food Code and Liquor License Violations, Thanksgiving Football and Holiday Events

Here's a roundup of events and meetings in Foxborough this week, Nov. 19-25.

The following meetings and events will be held in Foxborough this week:

Monday, Nov. 19:

Board of Registrars, 11 a.m., Town Clerk’s Office of Town Hall: The Board of Registrars will meet to tally absentee ballots.

Stadium Advisory Committee, 5:30 p.m., Andrew Gala Meeting Room of Town Hall: The Stadium Advisory Committee will meet to review a new application for licensed use of Gillette Stadium.

Board of Health, 7 p.m., Andrew Gala Meeting Room of Town Hall: The Board of Health will discuss the septic system at the VFW, meet with Steve Cerullo of Kamper’s Kitchen to discuss food code violations, review an animal and fowl permit for Noel Olivier.

  • School Committee, 7 p.m., Foxborough High School Media Center: The School Committee will meet to discuss the following:
  • Food services update
  • District report card
  • Turf’s Up! Turf field project update
  • FY13 monthly budget statement

Board of Water and Sewer Commissioners, 7 p.m. at Water Department Office of Town Hall: The Water and Sewer Commissioners will meet to discuss the estimated completion date of the sewer district among other topics. To view the meeting’s agenda, click here.

Board of Recreation, 7:30 p.m., Recreation Office on South Street: The board will discuss the status of the town’s skate park, a recap of the Pakistani visit, field rental fees, child abuse prevention forum being held on Nov. 26 at Ahern Middle School, baked goods for holiday shoppe and more.

Ahern Middle School Parent Teacher Conferences: Students will be released early for afternoon parent conferences.

Ahern Book Fair: Ahern Middle School will hold a book fair from 8:15 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Foxborough High School Parent Conference: Foxborough High School students will be released early for parent conferences.

Play at Igo School: Igo School first graders will perform a Thanksgiving play.

Tuesday, Nov. 20:

Board of Selectmen, 7 p.m., Andrew Gala Meeting Room of Town Hall: The Foxborough Board of Selectmen meets to discuss the following town business:

Open the public hearing for Waxy O’Connor’s alleged liquor license violation at 7 p.m. Selectmen are expected to continue the public hearing to Jan. 8, 2013 at the request of Waxy O’Connor’s and Town Manger Kevin Paicos.

An update and presentation of the proposed turf field project with members of the school department.

Open the public hearing for CBS Scene’s alleged liquor license violation at 8 p.m.

Continue the public hearing for Foxboro Mandarin regarding the establishment’s alleged liquor license violation.

Open the public hearing for Blue Fin Lounge’s alleged liquor license violation.

Ahern Middle School Parent Conferences: Ahern students will be released early for parent conferences.

Ahern Book Fair: Ahern Middle School will hold a book fair from 8:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m.

Foxborough High School Parent Conferences: Foxborough High School students will be dismissed early for parent conferences.

Wednesday, Nov. 21:

Foxborough Public Schools Early Release: Students in Foxborough Public Schools will be released early for Thanksgiving break.

Burrell School Concert: Burrell School students from grades 1, 2, 3 and 4 will be performing in a music concert.

Thursday, Nov. 22:

Happy Thanksgiving!

No School: Foxborough Public Schools will be closed for Thanksgiving break.

Foxborough vs. Mansfield football, 10 a.m., Thanksgiving Day rivalry: Foxborough and Mansfield continue the rivalry on the gridiron Thursday at 10 a.m. at Mansfield High School. It will be Foxborough’s final game of the season. New England Patriots at New York Jets, 8:20 p.m. on NBC: The New England Patriots and New York Jets renew their rivalry Thanksgiving night in New Jersey.

Friday, Nov. 23:

No school: Foxborough Public Schools will be closed for Thanksgiving break.
