5 Things: Town Pool Closed, Selectmen Meeting Tonight, and More!

1. Today's Forecast From the National Weather Service

  • Today: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 80. Northeast wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
  • Tonight: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 10pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 10pm and 5am. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Patchy fog. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. Southwest wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

3. Selectmen to Meet Tonight
The selectmen will meet tonight at 7 p.m. in the Gala Meeting Room at Town Hall. Agenda items include a discussion with the Gillette Stadium satellite parking lot owners and an update on the interim town manager. 

4. Post 93 Tournament Play Starts Tonight
In American Legion Baseball action, Foxborough Post 93 will play Canton in a best of three series in the first round of the District 6 tournament starting tonight. Post 93 finished the regular season as the second best team in the West Division with a record of 18-6.

5. Town Pool Closed
Due to high chlorination levels, the pool at the Cohasset River Recreation Area will not be open today.
