1. Expect a Sunny and Cold Monday in Foxborough

Today’s weather in Foxborough, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for mostly sunny, with a high near 33. West wind 10 to 17 mph. Monday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 15. West wind 9 to 14 mph becoming light after midnight.

2. Foxborough’s Water & Sewer Commissioners to Discuss Sewer Funding Model

Foxborough’s Water & Sewer Commissioners will meet at 7 p.m. in the Water Department Office of Town Hall to discuss the sewer funding model. At 7:20 p.m. the board will review/finalize/vote and sign meeting minutes from Dec. 12, 17, Jan. 7, 14, 22, 28 and 29. The board will also sign sewer permit for 225 Central St., hear a report from Superintendent Bob Worthley and hear an update on the Oak Street Water Treatment Plant.

4. Toyota Recalls Corolla and Lexus Models for Faulty Air Bags or Wipers

The world's top automaker announced last week it is recalling 1.29 million automobiles for faulty equipment.

The Associated Press is reporting the company is recalling:

  • 907,000 cars, mostly Corollas, due to air bags that can improperly inflate when the vehicle's electronic signals damage a chip in the part that controls the air bags, and
  • 385,000 Lexus IS luxury cars with wipers that can get stuck if there is heavy snowfall.

The story says Toyota has received 46 reports of air bag problems in North America and one from Japan, along with 25 reports of windshield wiper problems.
