1. Expect a Sunny Weekend in Foxborough with Temperatures in the 70s

Saturday’s weather in Foxborough, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for mostly sunny, with a high near 77. North wind around 10 mph. Saturday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 53. East wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening. Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 76. Calm wind becoming southeast 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. Sunday night: Patchy fog after midnight. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 56. South wind 3 to 7 mph.

2. Labor Day Weekend

3. Foxborough Football Scrimmages Swampscott High School Saturday

The Foxborough High School football team will host Swampscott High School for a Saturday morning scrimmage at Ahern Middle School. Scrimmage begins at 10:30 a.m. The Warriors begin the 2012 season on the road in East Longmeadow on Friday, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m.

4. Events:

  • Noon to 5 p.m. (Saturday) - Bass Pro Shops Hometown Festival: Join Bass Pro Shops for a Hometown Festival. Free family activities including nat-a-fish pong game, bean bag toss, casting buckets, metal detector treasure hunts, free crafts, face painting a fashion show and more.
  • 7:30 p.m. (Saturday) - New England Revolution vs. Philadelphia Union: Come see the New England Revolution take on the Philadelphia Union at Gillette Stadium.
  • 8 p.m. (Saturday) - Tom Dixon at Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill: With a unique combination of smooth country vocals and an explosive live performance, The Tom Dixon Band has given birth to a new way of delivering that sweet country sound.
  • 8 p.m. (Saturday) - Rik Emmett performs at Showcase Live: Rik Emmett gained international notoriety as the lead singer/songwriter/guitarist with Triumph. 
  • Noon to 5 p.m. (Sunday) - Bass Pro Shops Hometown Festival: Join Bass Pro Shops for a Hometown Festival. Free family activities including nat-a-fish pong game, bean bag toss, casting buckets, metal detector treasure hunts, free crafts, face painting a fashion show and more.

5. Get Your Car Washed Saturday to Support to Foxborough High School Field Hockey Team

The Foxborough High School field hockey team will be holding a car wash at Town Hall from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations will be accepted for the program.
