Here's five things you need to know today in Foxborough: Today is Sept. 11 and Foxborough Never Forgets those who lost their lives during the terrorist attacks that occurred 11 years ago on this day.

Today’s weather in Foxborough, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for sunny, with a high near 69. Northwest wind around 7 mph. Tuesday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 48. Light west wind.

2. Today is Sept. 11 and Foxboro Never Forgets

Today is the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks and we take this moment to solemnly remember those who lost their lives on this tragic date in our nation's history. The tragedy of Sept. 11 was felt close to home as the Foxborough community lost one of its own from the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City.

Foxborough resident Michael McGinty, 42, was killed during from the attacks on the WTC and is survived by his wife, Cindy and two children. To remember and celebrate Michael's life, hundreds joined the McGinty family on Foxboro Common this past Saturday to keep Michael's memory alive with McGinty Family Fun Day. The even raises funds for two scholarships in Michael's name that are awarded to two college-bound high school students. To view photos from Saturday's event, .

Last year, the community gathered at the Public Safety Building Saturday evening for the dedication of the town's 9/11 memorial on the 10th anniversary of the attacks.

The dedication ceremony featured remarks from Senator James Timilty, Representative Jay Barrows, Cindy McGinty, Joe Lally, former Board of Selectmen chair Lawrence Harrington and Foxboro Never Forgets founder Chris Mitchell. 3. Warriors’ Game Day:

The following Foxborough High School teams will be in action Tuesday:

  • Boys’ golf at Sharon (Sharon Country Club), 3:30 p.m.
  • Girls’ volleyball at North Attleboro, 4:45 p.m.
  • Boys’ and girls’ cross country at Oliver Ames (Easton), 3:30 p.m.

4. Events:

  • 11 a.m. - Storytime at Showcase Cinema de Lux: Meet The Cat in the Hat at Kids Club Storytime Tuesday.
  • Noon - Bounce Houses: Jump around all afternoon in inflatable bounce houses. Located in the North Marketplace outside of Tastings Wine Bar and Bistro, enjoy great views of Gillette Stadium as the kids bounce the day away.

5. Taylor Elementary School PTO Meeting

The Taylor Elementary School PTO will hold a meeting at the school from 7 to 9 p.m.
