Today is the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks and we take this moment to solemnly remember those who lost their lives on this tragic date in our nation's history. The tragedy of Sept. 11 was felt close to home as the Foxborough community lost one of its own from the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City.

Foxborough resident Michael McGinty, 42, was killed during from the attacks on the WTC and is survived by his wife, Cindy and two children. To remember and celebrate Michael's life, hundreds joined the McGinty family on Foxboro Common this past Saturday to keep Michael's memory alive with McGinty Family Fun Day. The even raises funds for two scholarships in Michael's name that are awarded to two college-bound high school students. To view photos from Saturday's event, .
