1. NWS Calls for a Rainy Tuesday in Foxborough

Today’s weather in Foxborough, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for rain likely, mainly before 11 a.m. Patchy fog before 1 p.m. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 53. Northeast wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. Tuesday night: A slight chance of rain before 10 p.m. Patchy fog after 2 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 44. North wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

3. Patriots running back Kevin Faulk Retires from NFL Today

Longtime New England Patriots running back Kevin Faulk is expected to officially announce his retirement from the NFL Tuesday at The Hall at Patriot Place presented by Raytheon. The press conference will be held at The Hall at Patriot Place presented by Raytheon starting at 10:30 a.m. in the Grand Hall on the third floor. Robert Kraft, The Kraft Group chairman and CEO, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and Faulk are each expected to speak during the press conference.

4. Warriors Game Day:

The following Foxborough High School teams will be in action Tuesday:

  • Girls’ volleyball hosts Taunton at 4:45 p.m.
  • Boys’ and girls’ cross country teams travel to Milford for a 3:45 p.m. meet.
