1. Chance of Morning Showers, Otherwise a Cloudy Friday in Foxborough

Today’s weather in Foxborough, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for a chance of showers, mainly before 1 p.m. Increasing clouds, with a high near 53. West wind 8 to 14 mph becoming northwest in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. Friday night: Widespread frost after 3 a.m. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 29. Northwest wind 7 to 9 mph.

2. Popular Cereal Recalled Because of Metal Mesh Fragments

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has initiated a voluntary recall of Frosted Mini-Wheats Bite Size Original and Mini-Wheats Unfrosted Bite Size because of possible metal mesh fragments from a faulty manufacturing part, according to the FDA.

Recalled products include the letters KB, AP or FK before or after the Best If Used Before date.

3. NWS Issues a Freeze Watch for Friday Night

The National Weather Service is reporting a hard freeze is likely to occur Friday night into Saturday morning in Foxborough. The Freeze Watch will remain in effect after midnight Friday night through Saturday morning. Hazards include below freezing temperatures, which can kill crops and other sensitive vegetation. 4. Warriors Game Day:

The following Foxborough High School teams will be in action Friday:

  • The football team hosts Attleboro at 7 p.m. at Ahern Field.
  • Boys’ soccer hosts Oliver Ames at 3:30 p.m.
  • Girls’ soccer travels to Easton to face Oliver Ames at 3:30 p.m.
  • Field hockey travels to Easton to face Oliver Ames at 3:30 p.m.

5. Patriot Place Events:
