1. Expect a Cold and Cloudy Wednesday in Foxborough
Today’s weather in Foxborough, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for increasing clouds, with a high near 28. West wind 5 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Wednesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 9. Wind chill values as low as -1. Northwest wind around 9 mph.
2. AdCom to Discuss Public Safety Budgets Wednesday:
The Foxborough Advisory Committee is about to get very busy with budgets and warrant articles in advance of a Special Town Meeting in March followed by the Annual Town Meeting in May. AdCom begins its budget review process Wednesday in the Andrew Gala Meeting Room of Town Hall at 7 p.m.
On the agenda are the following public safety budgets:
- Animal Control
- Central Dispatch
- Public Safety Building
AdCom will also hold a general discussion for the proposed March 4 Special Town Meeting.
3. Adult Art Class Sampler at Hunakai Studio of Fine Arts
Hunakai Studio of Fine Arts, located at 263 Central St. is offering a new adult art class for a limited time. The course, Adult Art Class Sampler, offers four different classes on your schedule. Choose from printmaking, oil painting, watercolors, ceramics (takes up two classes), pastels, acrylic painting, Photoshop or mixed media. Cost is $100 per ticket (four classes) and must be used by March 31. Classes are convenient to you because Hunakai Studio allows you to choose your own schedule. School is back in session in Foxborough today following winter break.
5. Town Planner Asks for your Input with Transit Needs Analysis
Foxborough Town Planner Sharon Wason is asking for your input regarding the town’s transit needs analysis in order to apply for state transit funds. The Planning Board has developed an online survey (found here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Q52WXKQ) for people in town to complete in an effort to gather the necessary information needed to apply for the state funds.
