5 Things: Dog Licenses Due, Dunkin’ Donuts Blood Drive, Winterfest Concert & More

1. Expect a Possible Thunderstorm and Rain Thursday in Foxborough

Today’s weather in Foxborough, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 9 a.m., then a chance of showers between 9 and 10 a.m. Areas of fog before 9 a.m. Temperature falling to around 41 by 5 p.m. Breezy, with a south wind 20 to 23 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 60 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

2. 2013 Foxborough Dog Licenses Due at Town Hall

Thursday is the last day to register for 2013 dog licenses with the town of Foxborough without paying a $20 late fee. Licenses are $12 for male and female dogs and $10 for neutered or spayed dogs. Licenses can be paid for at Town Hall.

3. Dunkin’ Donuts and American Red Cross Host Blood Drive at Patriot Place

The Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant located at 1 Patriot Pl. in Foxborough is hosting an American Red Cross blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday to help raise awareness about the need for blood.

During the month of January, all presenting blood donors in Massachusetts will receive a coupon from Dunkin’ Donuts for a free pound of coffee.  Blood is an essential component for patient care in area hospitals, and the only source of blood is a healthy, volunteer blood donor. About every two seconds someone in America needs blood, and one donation can help save up to three lives. All current and new donors are encouraged to call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org to schedule an appointment.

4. Winterfest Concert to be held at Foxborough High School

Foxborough High School will hold a Winterfest concert at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.
