1. Snow Could Start in Foxborough Thursday Night

Today’s weather in Foxborough, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for a partly sunny, with a high near 24. North wind around 6 mph becoming northeast in the afternoon. Thursday night: A slight chance of snow after 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 17. Calm wind becoming east around 6 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

2. A’Cappella Concert at Foxborough High School

Foxborough High School’s A’Cappella students will perform in concert in the Foxborough High School auditorium at 7 p.m.

3. Foxborough High School will Host Program of Studies Night

Foxborough High School will host a Program of Studies Night at 7 p.m.

4. Playing Fields Committee to Discuss Turf Field Project

The town’s Playing Fields Committee will hear an update on the turf field project and hold a sports groups discussion at 7 p.m. in the South Street Recreation Office.

5. Foxborough Democratic Caucus Postponed to Feb. 17

Saturday’s Foxborough Democratic Caucus has been postponed due to Friday and Saturday’s snowstorm. The caucus has been rescheduled to Sunday, Feb. 17 at 1 p.m. in the McGinty Room of the Foxborough Public Safety Building. 

The town’s Democrats will hold the caucus to elect delegates to the Massachusetts Democratic Party's 2013 Platform Convention. All Foxborough residents registered as Democrats no later than Dec. 31, 2012 are eligible to participate.

The date for the Convention is July 13, 2013 at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell.

There will also be a Youth Convention for high school students. Contact Dennis Naughton at 508-543-6214 for details.

The Foxborough Democratic Caucus will elect eight delegates and three alternates. Delegates will be divided equally between men and women. Those not elected as Delegate or Alternate, who meet the qualifications, may apply to be add-on delegates in the following categories: youth, minority and disabled.
