Take back our Town

Hello Foxboro residents. As you have been reading our Board of Selectmen recently voted NO to a liquor license transfer that would have allowed a Splitsville bowling Alley/entertainment center to open up at Patriot place. This venue represented a 4.5 million dollar investment in our town along with 125 jobs and $100,000 annual revenue in our town coffers. The BOS held two public meetings where there was not one person that opposed the plan but there were over a dozen residents in favor along with Representatives Barrows and Senator Timillty. Even our own Chief O’leary acknowledged that “the operation did not seem inconsistent with other activities at Patriot Place”. Also Chief O’leary came to an agreement with the Kraft Organization to add an additional “supervisory” position up at Patriot Place so that the 8 to 13 detailed police officers could be better coordinated, on site. With all of this support (and no objections) it is hard to understand why three of our selectmen voted against this transfer. I urge every one of my fellow residents to contact John Gray- jgray@bmsri.com, Ginny Coppola- selectmanVCoppola@comcast.net and Lorraine Brue- lbrue1@verison.net and ask that they reconsider their NO vote and allow Splitsville to open in our town. There is currently a petition being passed around for just this purpose. Please go to the “Foxboro Discussion” group on FaceBook for  more information or feel free to call me 508-543-6280 and I will answer any question you have or get you the petition. Thank You Steve Harding
