DeRensis Elected Again to Represent Cities and Towns Statewide

At the Massachusetts Municipal Association Annual Convention at Boston’s Hynes Convention Center January 24-26, Former Foxborough Town Counsel, Paul DeRensis, was again elected to the leadership positions as a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Selectmen’s Association and a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Municipal Association.The Massachusetts Selectmen’s Association is an organization of selectmen statewide to provide advocacy, training, publications, research and other services to Selectmen throughout the Commonwealth. Mr. DeRensis was thanked for his work assisting in the preparation of a new “Massachusetts Selectman’s Handbook”, a training guide explaining selectmen’s responsibilities and obligations and explaining municipal law from the perspective of a selectman. This Handbook is expected to be published in the next three months.

The Massachusetts Municipal Association is a nonprofit, nonpartisan association that also provides advocacy, training, publications, research and other services to Massachusetts cities and towns. The MMA brings municipal officials together to establish unified policies for cities and towns, to advocate these policies, and to ensure the effective delivery of services to community residents.
