Splitsville Returns to the Selectmen
Tonight, Splitsville is back on the selectmen's agenda after two weeks of discussion between a pair of selectmen and officials from the chain of luxury bowling alleys.

The possible reconsideration of the liquor license transfer comes two weeks after the board agreed to let Selectman John Gray talk with Splitsville and Patriots Place officials about how to make the license work.

A update from Gray is expected tonight but a public hearing to transfer the liquor license is not on the agenda.

Much has been made of the controversial 3-2 vote to deny the transfer which  Gray voted against.

In the weeks since the denial, a petition reaching over 900 signatures has circulated requesting the selectmen reconsider the transfer and the Kraft Group started the process to appeal the initial vote to the ABCC. An appeal however, cannot be heard until a letter officially rejecting the liquor license transfer is received by the applicant.

Chairman Mark Sullivan said if the motion for a transfer fails again, he would respect the vote.

The meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the Foxboro High School media center with a discussion on Splitsville scheduled for 8:45 p.m.
