Hero Helpers of America is gearing up for their next event on Sunday December 22, 2013 at Waxy O’Connors in Foxboro from 9am-2pm. Hero Helpers is looking for residents of all ages to come and join in on the fun of decorating 3,000 cupcakes for local veterans, as well as homeless & in need veterans throughout New England. This is a free all ages event.

In addition to cupcake decorating, there will be free pictures with Santa Claus, Raffles, Silent Auctions, Crafts, Holiday Card Decorating for veterans, a donation box for the Boston Homeless Veterans Shelter, active duty service members in uniform, Christmas Carolers & more!

A portion of the raffle proceeds will go towards purchasing winter coats for veterans in need.

“We will be collecting items for homeless veterans such as winter coats, mittens, scarves, socks, and other winter essentials.” Eliopoulos said.

This event is being planned by founder Lauren Eliopoulos and her family who have direct ties to veterans and active duty service members.

“The holidays are all about what we can give back. This is a great way to show your children and family how important it is to give and not just receive—even in this small way. These cupcakes are going to make some veterans days—in fact it could make their entire holiday season” Lynn Eliopoulos said.
