Women's Self-Defense Seminar a Huge Success
UGS Foxboro and HUGS Sharon would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Chris Rappold, Founder and Master Instructor of Personal Best Karate Studio in Foxboro, for presenting last week's Women's Self-Defense Seminar held at its Foxboro Plaza facility. Chris instructed the seminar to over 25 women of all ages and various skill levels. Several mothers participated with their college-bound daughters to learn vital strategies for personal safety and basic defense skills. Chris prepared handout skill sheets with various tips and techniques for a friendly reminder.
Also in attendance was HUGS Board Member Foxboro Police Chief Edward O'Leary to whom we extend our gratitude for always being an avid HUGS supporter and proponent of domestic violence awareness and public education in our community.
In return for this free event, we appreciate the participants who donated several items for the Food Pantry as well as contributing monetary donations.
For further information about domestic violence and combating violence in our communities through educational programs, please contact:

The Ninety Nine Celebrates 25 Years

The Ninety Nine Restaurant in Foxboro celebrated its 25th anniversary with team members, guests and members of the community on Tuesday evening, August 20th with an event that generated over 3,000X for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation.
