Radiologists from the Brigham and Women’s Vein Care Program will be hosting a free Varicose Vein Screening at the Brigham and Women’s/Mass General Health Care Center in Foxborough/Patriot Place on Monday, November 12^th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Each screening is done using ultrasound, which is a form of imaging that uses sound waves to show if there are any blockages in the blood vessels that run through the lower leg. Blockages in these blood vessels are a common cause of painful varicose veins and can be the symptoms of more serious vascular health issues.

Dimitry Rabkin, MD, and Michael Stecker, MD, interventional radiologists from Brigham and Women’s Hospital, will perform the ultrasounds and will explain the findings on the spot. If a blockage is found, the doctors will discuss treatment options and recommend follow-up with your primary care physician. Vein screenings take about 5 minutes to complete. There is no registration required to take part in the vein screening.
