DESCRIPTION:The phenomenon known as Sublime\, arguably the most energeti
c\, original and uniquely eclectic band to emerge from any scene\, anyw
here\, ended with the untimely death of lead singer\, guitarist and son
gwriter Brad Nowell in May of 1996. But encompassing the sense of place
  and purpose long associated with Sublime&rsquo\;s music\, Badfish\, a
Tribute to Sublime continues to channel the spirit of Sublime with a fu
ry not felt for some time. What separates Badfish from other tribute ba
nds is that they have replicated Sublime&rsquo\;s essence\, developing a
scene and dedicated following most commonly reserved for label-driven\
, mainstream acts. Badfish make their mark on the audience by playing w
ith the spirit of Sublime. They perform not as Sublime would have\,or d
id\, but as Badfish does.\nBuild A Machine formed in 2007\, naming the
group after a lyric from a Jane's&nbsp\; Addiction song. The bands fir
st offering "Once Around The Sun" was a collection of songs written in
The Salton Sea\, CA. While in the studio recording their debut release\
, the group got the attention of drummer Stephen Perkins (Jane's Addict
ion\, Porno for Pyros) who enjoyed the music so much that he added perc
ussion to there track "Make It Happen." Upon completion of the album\,
the band hit the road all over North America to promote it\, selling 2\
 ,000 copies independently.For the groups second offering\, their self-t
itled EP\, BAM packed up their gear and headed up north. Armed with a n
ew outlook and positive inspiration\, the group rented a lake house nea
r Portland\, Maine where they lived and recorded their new EP over the
course of three months. With mixing duties provided by Dave Aron (Subli
 me\, Snoop Dogg)\, Build A Machine's Self-Titled EP offers an eclectic
mix of reggae\, funk\, and rock which "harbors back to a time of George
Clinton with a dollop of Rage Against the Machine tossed in for good m
easure."\nSpiritual Rez\nThere is nothing more mind-bending than divers
e sounds and omni-present textures&hellip\;the music that changes your
mind and your soul. The Spiritual Rez reggae dance experience is an una
bashed display of musical virtuosity. When paired with a deep\, sub-son
ic groove and powerful heart felt vocalization\; crowds are left dancin
g and screaming for more. Over the past 8 years\, these six men have re
lentlessly...&nbsp\; toured the country to share their music and apprec
iation of the arts. Rooted in rock\, reggae\, and funk\; their diversit
y exemplifies their love and desire to put on a live experience that wi
ll not only cut to your core\, but also ignite the inner flame that exi
sts in us all. A constant festival favorite\, The Rez can shake a stage
like a psychedelic dance earthquake. Evoking their personal power anim
als\, they fearlessly forge into the musically unknown\, creating a mas
terpiece every performance. It's this power\, this creative desire\, th
at has fans traveling across the nation to experience this raw and into
 xicating display of musical bliss.\nwww.badfish.com/
