The Hands-On Montessori School recently participated in a basket of cheer raffle to benefit the YMCA's Reach Out for Youth and Families ("ROYF") Campaign. The school community raised $305 for the YMCA ROYF Campaign, enough to sponsor 5 kids for swim lessons at the Hockomock YMCA. The Sage School in Foxboro, sent seven students to the Massachusetts MATHCOUNTS state competition held at the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston on March 5. Sage eighth grader Zachary Polansky placed fourth individually and will now move on to the MATHCOUNTS national competition on May 5 and 6 in Orlando, FL. The Sage team came in third overall. MATHCOUNTS is a national math competition that promotes math achievement. Students in grades 6-8 compete in the subject areas of  algebra, probability, statistics, and geometry.
