Where Do Drivers Speed Most in Foxborough?

We want to hear from you and see if there's a consensus among readers.

We all know there are spots in Foxborough where people tend to speed throughout town.

But where do you think those areas are? Foxborough Police Chief Edward O'Leary has said in previous articles on speeding in town that there is no specific spot in Foxborough that is of higher concern for speeding and that complaints are typically scattered throughout town.

“It varies from small neighborhoods to places like South High Street,” O’Leary said.

Now, we want to hear from you!

Tell us in the comments section which streets have the most speeders in town and which streets might need a raised section, another stop sign, more crosswalks or another measure to slow down traffic.

Then next Wednesday, we'll run a poll based on the top five answers we received in the callout as we try to find which road in Foxborough drivers speed the most on.

Beach St. / North St. to Meadowview. 20MPH??? That's the law. Mechanic st. to Meadowview st on Beach St.. the speed limit is 40/35 MPH. How many drivers don't slow down when they come to the 20MPH speed limit? Quite a lot. I drive the speed limit in that section of the road and quite frequently I am passed. Because I drive slow?

Foxborough blvd lately. I've nearly been hit twice now by people going well over 30 and losing control around the curves.

With out a doubt Oak Street. People have been hit trying to get in their driveways. They go faster as they round the bend towards Oakwud Street. Something needs to be done

Baker street has become a cut through to avoid the lights by dunkin donuts and DQ... People fly down the street including the police, it is very scary!

Cocasset and Oak....even with almost daily radar during school time, multiple cars are pulled over on Cocasset, you would think that with years of this drivers would get the message...

Oooh! I have one: North Street on the straight part by Ashcroft. Most people are hitting 60 mph through that stretch.

West Street is used as a short cut from Rt 1 to 106 for trucks and cars. Very often they speed to save even more time. Have observed many close calls due to speed on that street.
