Volunteers Assemble Fruit Baskets For Discretionary Fund Food Deliveries
The Jaycees gathered and created 250 baskets of fresh fruit to deliver with the discretionary fund food boxes.
For 19 years, the Foxboro Jaycees have been assembling fruit baskets to accompany the Foxboro Discretionary Fund Christmas dinner deliveries to the needy.
This is the second year the Jaycees have partnered with Brigham & Women Foxboro to do this. Hard work by volunteers led to 250 fruit baskets being assembled in less than 90 minutes.
The Jaycees and Brigham & Women are also grateful to the friends who came out from the YMCA, and the community to assist. With so many helpers, this community oriented task was completed quickly and efficiently, and is certainly regarded as one of the most enjoyable Jaycee Community Development projects of the year.
