What Should Replace Piccadilly Pub Restaurant?
What would you like to see done with the former Piccadilly Pub Restaurant location at 25 Foxboro Blvd. in Foxborough?
Drive around Foxborough long enough and you’re bound to see an occassional empty storefront or vacant business space.
But do you ever stop to envision what could move into town to fill that opening in town?
If you do, so do we. When we see a vacant property, we want to know what it was, why it left and what could replace it.
It’s these kinds of thoughts and conversations that have inspired a new weekly feature on Foxborough Patch that profiles these vacant properties around town and asks you should go there.
We’re calling it “Visions for Vacancies.”
In this feature, we'll be asking you what kinds of businesses you'd like to see fill various vacancies around town. This is your place to sound off and have your say about local businesess and open spaces. Tell us what a vacant business property should become before plans are drawn.
Foxborough Patch will be highlighting a vacant building or structure in the community each week and you will have the opportunity to comment on them ... if the space generates enough conversation, we will follow-up with Foxborough Town Planner Sharon Wason on the reader suggestions and get her two cents on the property.
This week, we debut our feature by turning our attention to the space on 25 Foxboro Blvd., formerly occupied by Piccadilly Pub.
The restaurant closed its doors this past February, despite being a local favorite in town for many residents, according to Courtney Jansson’s story, “Piccadilly Pubs Close Their Doors.”
So, what would you like to see take its place and fill this vacant spot in town?
Let us know what you think in the comment section below!
