At TDBank in Mansfield Crossing, manager Rich Schank and Tri-Town Chamber social media specialist, Jen Vondenbrink handed out carnations to patrons waiting in line.  One gentleman said, “My wife’s in the car.  She’ll love the flower.  What a surprise!”  Other businesses such as Glee Gifts, Hefez & Sons Jewelers, Advantage Appliance in Mansfield, Bridget’s An Irish Tradition in Norton and Your Curtain Store in Foxborough were equally surprised.

“(June 23) was really our kick off,” said Vondenbrink.  “Now we want to let the community know all the fantastic things they can do in our own backyard.  Even a Saturday night can feel a bit like being on vacation with all there is to do in Mansfield, Foxboro and Norton.”

In August the Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce will be holding a contest for kids and their families to win a Buy Local – Back-to-School gift package.  Details of the contest will be announced shortly.  In the meantime, get out and Buy Local.
