Thursday Night Smoke From Dedham Fire

If you were outside last night, you saw the black smoke rising from the direction of Dedham.

Dedham Fire officials were battling a brush fire in a stretch of 20 acres off of Route 128. The fire was deep in a swampy area, which made it difficult to knock down. It was in the Greenlodge and Manor sections of Dedham.

The fire caused the University Avenue exit on Route 128 North to be closed. It also caused Amtrax service to be shut down for a period of time.
