The New England Revolution Host Memorable Day at Gillette

Revolution debuted new jersey sponsor UnitedHealthcare and Benny Feilhaber makes an assist.

It was a memorable Saturday night at Gillette Stadium, April 23, for the Revolution soccer team. The Revolution debuted new jersey sponsor UnitedHealthcare and U.S. National Team midfielder Benny Feilhaber headed out onto the field for his first MLS start. 

Earlier on Saturday, The New England Revolution announced their partnership with UnitedHealthcare, a provider of health benefit plans.

The Revolution and UnitedHealthcare have entered a multi-year sponsorship agreement that will have New England Revolution players wearing the UnitedHealthcare logo on their soccer jerseys.

UnitedHealthcare and the Revolution plan on using their partnership to "raise awareness about the long-term benefits of living a healthy lifestyle." The partnership's first effort will be in the fight to prevent childhood diabetes and obesity.

Feilhaber stood with his new team at the joint press conference with UnitedHealthcare.

Feilhaber, unsure at the time if he was going to play against the Sporting K.C that evening, ended up earning an assist in his MLS debut.
