It depends how this will affect those of us who live nearby in regards to the sewer proposal. I do not want to pay for sewer hookup just to help another gym when we already have three in Foxboro ( Gold Gym, World Gym and the YMCA)!!!!

WOW has yet to determine an official opening date. I will post it as soon as I hear!

I just cancelled my Norwood WOW membership, cannot believe the woman did not tell me a Foxboro location was opening.

I think it's wonderful--and about time! I always love it when a perfectly good, but empty, building gets revitalized and put to good use. I'm all for commerce. AND for fitness.

Don, WOW informed me that they hope to start construction in September, and hope to be open a few months after that .

Why has WOW removed the signs on the property in Foxboro if they are going to start constuction. Have they changed their mind about opening in the Bradlee's plaza.

I think having a WOW in Foxboro is a good thing for the town, it offers a healthier more fit lifestyle at a fraction of the cost of some of the other local health clubs.

In case anyone is wondering I was told they would be opening September 21st. I hope this is the case because I really need to get to the gym, of course it will probably be mobbed the first day but oh well!

Well seems they are stalling on opening. We stopped in and was informed they would be open middle of Oct. Stopped in yet again and was told it would be another couple of weeks.... so who knows?

I'm getting a bit tired of waiting. But the thing that is borderline p'ing me off is that they are blaming the delay on hurricane Irene. Yes, the power in Foxboro may have been out for a few days but that was almost 8 weeks ago. The opening is now more than 3 weeks overdue with no opening date in sight. I think it's way past time that WOW make a detailed statement about what is causing the delay, with specifics like: What construction is left to be completed. The status of the equipment. Has it been ordered? Where is it? Have they really ordered it?

I understand everyone is anxious but remember anything can happen during construction. If you have ever built a house the slightest thing can cause a huge delay. They told us the "target" date was the 21st of September. They are not that far off and they never guaranteed the grand opening to be on that day. You should check out one of the other WOW's just to see what it is like. I went to the East Taunton WOW...it is GREAT!! I could not believe how much equipment it has and how clean! The atmosphere was awesome! In a couple of weeks we'll forget all about the delay and will be enjoying a great club!

I am happy to hear of WOW opening. I've been a member of the Foxboro Y for 7 years and have seen nothing but price increases every year. It would be great to have something affordable and have the insurance pay for all of it.

Anyone else having the issue of joining and getting charged the monthly fee but its not open yet? I know someone who is having this issue.

Not too sure why you would cancel a WOW membership in Norwood, you can go to any WOW once you are a member. Our family signed up at the Foxboro WOW and my son has been going to the Norwood one to get started. They plan on opening Foxboro Monday Nov 7th

Who said anything about canceling a membership? I am a member of WOW and have been going to Norwood over a year now. But I know someone who signed up at the Foxboro location (with no intention of traveling to Norwood). I am not sure if they were told her in interim that she could use the Norwood location, but in either case they took her membership and then started charging her before she could use that gym.
