Police Make 2 Arrests During UMass Football Homecoming at Gillette Stadium

The UMass Amherst football team's Homecoming game against Bowling Green on Saturday, Oct. 20 drew a crowd of 10,846 to Gillette Stadium.

 

Note: The following police incidents were reported in Foxborough's police logs for Oct. 20.

UMass Amherst's Homecoming football game against Bowling Green this past Saturday brought 10,846 - mostly well-behaved - fans to Foxborough and roughly 8,500 to the Patriot Place grounds, according to Foxborough Police.

Chief Edward O'Leary said Foxborough Police made two arersts and took four individuals into protective custody during crowd management detail at the event.

A 19-year-old Amherst woman was arrested and charged with under 21 possession/transportation of liquor and a 20-year-old Amherst woman was arrested and charged with under 21 posession/transportation of liquor.

Protective Custodies:

  • A 21-year-old Newton man was taken into protective custody.
  • A 25-year-old Ohio woman was taken into protective custody.
  • A 25-year-old Ohio woman was taken into protective custody.
  • A 20-year-old Westford woman was taken into protective custody.

UMass lost to Bowling Green, 24-0 last Saturday to fall to 0-7 and 0-4 Mid-American Conference.
