NFL Playoffs: TV Schedule and Where to Watch Championship Sunday in Foxborough

The New England Patriots host the Baltimore Ravens in Sunday's AFC Championship Game at 6:30 p.m. Winner advances to Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans.

It’s Championship Weekend of the NFL playoffs and the New England Patriots are again just one game from the Super Bowl.

On Sunday, the Patriots will host the Baltimore Ravens for a second straight season in the AFC Championship Game. That game kicks off at 6:30 p.m. at Gillette Stadium. It will be the fifth time the conference championship game will be played in Foxborough. The Patriots are 4-0 when hosting AFC title games.

The AFC’s opponent in Super Bowl XLVII will be known prior to kick-off at Gillette Stadium as the San Francisco 49ers and Atlanta Falcons face-off in the NFC Championship Game at 3 p.m.

A trip to the Super Bowl would be New England’s sixth appearance since 2001 and eighth in franchise history. The Pats are 3-4 all-time in Super Bowls but 3-2 in the Bill Belichick/Tom Brady era.

Standing in the Patriots’ way of a second straight Super Bowl appearance are the Ravens – a match-up that has often been decided by just one possession. New England and Baltimore most recently played back in September (Week 3) of the NFL season. The Ravens came back late in the game to edge the Patriots, 31-30 in Baltimore. Prior to that, The Patriots held on to beat the Ravens, 23-20 at Gillette Stadium in last January’s AFC Championship Game.

New England is 1-1 against the Ravens in the postseason. Baltimore defeated the Patriots, 33-14 in the 2009-10 AFC Wild Card game at Gillette Stadium on Jan. 10, 2010. However, the Patriots are 6-2 all-time vs. the Ravens.
