Eviction Deadline for Hazeldine Family Extended to End of March

The Foxborough family's house and property at 27 Spring St. was recently appraised to be worth $200,000.

According to the "Save John and Julienne Hazeldine From Home Eviction" Facebook page, the Hazeldine family has been granted a stay of eviction until the end of March by Direct Federal Credit Union of Needham.

The Hazeldines, who have been pre-approved for a loan to buy their house back, had a previous deadline of March 15.

The loan company, Boston Community Capital, recently appraised the Spring Street house and property as being worth $200,000.

John and Julie Hazeldine lost their house to foreclosure and had it auctioned off to DFCU last September.

The family fell behind on mortgage payments after John suffered two strokes in 2008, leaving him with a limp in his right leg and his right arm paralyzed. He also underwent a hip replacement in 2012.

Now, they are hoping to be approved for a loan by BCC to buy the property back and pay for much needed repairs to the house.

There has been an outpouring of support by the Foxborough community and beyond since their stituation came to light. As of last Tuesday, 303 people had donated $42,846 to the family to help them buy back their home.
