Grace Morrison of Foxboro, 9, who has been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), will have her wish to visit Disney World granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation^® of Massachusetts and Rhode Island this October.

In April of 2009, Morrison was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and is being treated at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's Jimmy Fund Clinic. In July of 2011, Morrison was named a Hero of the 23rd annual Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai.

The trip to Disney World is made possible by Whole Foods Market in Bellingham, MA, which held a month-long cash register check-out donation fundraiser in July.  The event raised more than $6,500 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation^®, which will be used to grant Grace’s trip to Disney World.

To celebrate the promotion’s success and Morrison's wish trip, Whole Foods Market will host “Grace’s Night,” a part of the store’s weekly “Family Night,” on Friday, Sept. 23from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

"Grace's Night" will feature samples of Morrison's favorite foods and a check presentation.

A live performance will be donated by the Franklin Center for Performing Arts; which will feature a cast of 20 performers singing and dancing to the hits from Morrison's favorite movie, “High School Musical.”

The July fundraiser was spearheaded by Whole Foods Market Bellingham cashier, Ana Rivera, whose 4-year-old son battled leukemia. Rivera and her customer service team members were able to help generate the funds to send Morrison and her family to Disney World in only one month’s time.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation^® of Massachusetts and Rhode Island grants wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
