After losing the season opener to Mansfield, the Foxborough High School field hockey team went on a 15-game unbeaten streak that included 10 wins and five ties before losing to Hockomock League champion Canton, 2-1 on Oct. 23.

Foxborough's 11-2-5 regular season and second place finish in the Hock earned the Warriors the number eight seed in this year's MIAA Div. 2 South State Tournament and a preliminary round bye.

It also means the Warriors will begin its postseason play at home when the team hosts Cohasset, the tourney's number nine seed, on Friday, Nov. 2 at 2:30 p.m. at Foxborough High School.
