Each player will play with their team for a portion of the 24 hours, and the game will be played at Booth Fields. Kids who want to play and get involved can register for free at www.battleatthebooth.org.

All are invited to come down to watch the historic game, and on Saturday while the game goes on participate in fun activities such as trivia, face painting and music. There will be also be raffles and silent auctions.

All participants who raise $250 will, with a guest, attend a pizza lunch with Red Sox great Nomar Garciaparra and the top fundraisers get to sit at his table.

“I’m thrilled to be teaming up with Foxboro Youth Baseball and Softball for their 24 hour game,” said Nomar Garciaparra. “I can’t wait to meet the players and hear about their experiences during the 24-hours. 24 hours? Now that’s a baseball game!”

“This is going to be a great ball game and it’s also going to be a great community builder,”  said FYBSA event organizer Bob Julio. “These young boys and girls will be playing for a great cause. The feedback from the players and the community has been tremendous. My biggest problem so far is trying to figure out who will play the midnight game! Everybody seems to want to play at midnight.”

“Our hope is that this event will make all our kids proud to be part of our league,” stated Paul Rappoli, FYBSA board member. “It’s a total team effort, everyone involved, kids and parents alike are all a part of making this event a success.”
