Christina’s Fireside Grille to Close Saturday

Foxborough’s function hall on Washington Street (Route 1) is closing its doors Saturday, June 30 because the owners reportedly owe more than $500,000 in rent, according to a story on Fox 25.

Christina’s Fireside Grille, located at 2 Washington St., is reportedly closing its doors Saturday, June 30 because the function hall’s owners reportedly owe the property’s landlord $550,000, according to a story on Fox 25.

The property’s landlord, Nicholas Panagopoulos, told Fox 25’s Heather Hegedus Tuesday that the owners of Christina’s, Marjorie Clapprood and her husband, Chris Spinazzola, have not paid rent in two years and owe an additional $120,000 in taxes and utility bills, according to Fox 25.

My family and I had dinner here two weeks ago. The menu was spectacular but the food, other than the salads, was horrorendous... It was as if the chef had the night off and the replacements in the kitchen were eighth grade students who, if given a simple task of just boiling water, couldn't. We have been going to this restaurant with its many different names and it was always very good and seemed to do a nice business. it is hard to see two professionals like Margery and Chris fail to honor their obligations.
