Ocean State Job Lot Relocating to Former Bradlees Space; Chic2Chic Moving to Foxborough Plaza

Chic2Chic, looking to expand, is expected to move into the Ocean State Job Lot space at Foxborough Plaza sometime this year after the discount shop moves in to the vacant Bradlees building.

It looks like Foxborough Plaza has finally found a tenant to move in to the old Bradlees building at the 30 Commercial St. complex.

After nearly 13 years of vacancy, current Foxborough Plaza tenant Ocean State Job Lot will be taking over the former Bradlees space to make room for another Foxborough business looking to expand - Chic2Chic.

the women’s consignment shop is planning to move into the building currently occupied by Ocean State Job Lot in Foxborough Plaza sometime this year, according to owner Janelle Palomba.

Ocean State Job Lot is expected to remain in the plaza, taking over the old Bradlees store that has been vacant since 2000.

Palomba says the larger space will allow Chic2Chic to expand beyond women's clothing and add items for men, children, and teens.

In addition to the increase in products sold, Palomba expects to increase her staff from 30 to about 74 employees.

According to The Caldor Rainbow, Bradlees opened its Foxborough location "at the height of its expansive years on April 22, 1982" and stayed open until the chain shuttered 33 stores in Massachusetts, including Foxborough, by 2001.
